Dorian Pringle Update:
Many had previously heard that Dorian Pringle– who was having a standout year at linebacker for Bowling Green– was badly injured in Week 3. Falcons Head Coach Eddie George officially announced that Pringle will miss the rest of the 2025 season with a torn ACL– an injury he suffered in a celebration of his interception.
A look at Pringle’s final numbers and their national rankings:
Only player in D1 FBS to have 25+ tackles, 6+ tackles-for-loss, and an interception
27 tackles (23rd in nation)
17 solo tackles (12th in nation)
6 tackles-for-loss (4th in nation)
2 forced fumbles (1st in nation)
1 fumble recovery (1st in nation)
1 interception (3rd in nation)

NCAA D2
Willtrell Hartson, Running Back, Ashland
Willtrell Hartson continues to be one of Ashland’s top rushers. He led the Eagles with 42 yards on 10 carries versus Hillsdale on Saturday. Hartson also added 3 yards receiving.
DaOne Owens, Redshirt Freshman Quarterback, Slippery Rock
I headed out to western Pennsylvania to watch DaOne Owens make his first collegiate start on Saturday. He did not disappoint– the Rock offense churned out consistent drives and 42 points behind Owens’ leadership. Owens had played less than a quarter at quarterback this season, but if I had walked into the game as an unknowing spectator, I would never have guessed that. Owens showed poise all game and delivered when needed. He ended up gaining 24 yards rushing on 5 runs (3.2 average)– a limited run game as compared to last week– but his most deadly part of his game was in the air. Shippensburg, a fellow PSAC team that lies close to both Chambersburg and Gettysburg, did not have a chance against Owens and the Rock receivers. Owens went 16-27 in his air attack, passing for 252 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Owens Highlights
Ryan Page, Sophomore Defensive Back, Walsh
Ryan Page led the Cavaliers in tackles with 6 in Saturday’s game versus Kentucky Wesleyan. He had 2 solo tackles and 4 assists. The 6 total tackles and 4 assists are a career high for Page– this is also the first time in his career as a team leader in tackles.
Nate Watkins, Senior Defensive Lineman, Walsh
Nate Watkins had a season-best day with 2 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, and a sack. His tackles led to -25 yards for the opposition.
NCAA D3
Christian Kring, Junior Linebacker, Wooster
Christian Kring picked up 3 tackles (including 1.5 tackles-for-loss) versus Wabash this week. This follows a performance last week versus St. Vincent in which Kring recorded 5 tackles, 2 tackles-for-loss, and 2 sacks.
