Summary
The Tiger freshmen defeated GlenOak 27-13. The game was back-and-forth for a while, as the Tigers struck first on a Brady Cole to Evan Kress pass, but GlenOak responded with a score to tie it. Massillon punted it back to the Eagles, but the defense made a stand and gave the Tigers the ball at midfield after a turnover on downs. Ryan Harris took the ball 50 yards for a score to give the Tigers the lead at 13-7. GlenOak responded and tied the game up on their next drive. At the half, the score was 13-all. The Eagles punted to open the second half. Georgio Vinson left defenders in the dust as he took the ball 45 yards to the house to give the Tigers the lead for good. After a high snap and a big loss led to a 4th-and-long, GlenOak punted. Massillon threw an interception to give it right back. The Tigers jumped on the Eagles as Braidyn Mejia and Leland Vargas both got huge TFLs. As the final quarter rolled around, Jay’Vier Brunner took over the game for Massillon. He made a great catch-and-run over a pair of defenders for a long gain and followed it up by pulling a pass out of a defenders arms and scoring a touchdown. After a Brunner interception, the Tigers ran the clock to get a 27-13 victory.

Summary
Massillon’s JV jumped on GlenOak early en route to their 26-0 win. Adrian Pascley picked up a first down on the ground and Donnie McMullen followed it with a long run of his own that ended up in the end zone for a touchdown. A tackle-for-loss, followed up by a Will Sampsel pass breakup, forced the Eagles to punt. Joseph Pierce picked up a 1st down reception, Dey’Vier Adams found a hole for a 1st, and Pascley broke tackles and scored to extend the lead to 13-0. GlenOak punted and the Tigers opened the 2nd quarter with a McMullen-to-Ricardo Parker pass for a touchdown. Will Sampsel picked off a GlenOak pass on their next drive to give Massillon the ball. The Tigers fumbled to give it right back. The Eagles punted soon after but the Tigers muffed the return to hand it back yet again. A third-down screen was smothered by the Massillon defense and GlenOak punted again. McMullen ran for a 1st and took it to the 1-yard line on another scramble– Pascley punched it in to put Massillon up 26-0. The second half went quickly as the Massillon defense repeatedly pushed back GlenOak, picking up tackles-for-loss and forcing punts and turnovers on downs. The Tiger offense did not score in the second half despite coming close several times, leaving the final at 26-0.
