Austin Brawley, Safety, New Mexico

Austin Brawley has been making up for missed time over the past 3 games. He earned his second Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week award. 10 tackles, a forced fumble, a sack, and an interception were his highlights on Saturday. Brawley’s plays were timely for the Lobos– the sack stopped San Diego State late in the game and helped force overtime, the forced fumble came in NM territory, and the interception came on the first play of overtime.

NCAA D3 Basketball

Elijah Farrington, Forward, Mount Union

Elijah Farrington has had a good stretch over Mount Union’s last 3 games. Against Transylvania, Farrington scored a team-leading 22 points while grabbing 8 rebounds and picking up 4 steals. He scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds against Mt. St. Joseph, and had 24 points and 9 rebounds against Wooster. Through 7 games Farrington leads the Purple Raiders with 66 rebounds (9.4 per game) and points with 131 (18.7 per game).

NCJAA D2 Basketball

La’Nia Moore, Tri-C

La’Nia Moore has continued an excellent freshmen year with the Triceratops. A visit to Terra State saw her score 18 points and grab a team-high 17 rebounds (double-double). A 108-38 win over Community Christian (MI) saw Moore score a career-high 40 points, picking up 11 rebounds, and collecting 5 steals (double-double). She led the team with 19 points and 17 rebounds (double-double) in Tri-C’s first loss of the season (vs Macomb). She led the team again in points and rebounds in the Triceratops’ latest game– 22 points, 19 rebounds, and 5 steals highlighted a 69-43 win over Montcalm.

Moore has started all 10 games in her freshman season. She has a team-high 56.4% field goal percentage and is 2nd on the team with 19.8 points per game. Moore leads the team in overall points with 198. She is the top rebounder with 146 (14.6 per game) and has the 2nd most steals with 31. Out of the 10 games that she has played, 9 have been double-doubles.
