Ardell Banks, Wide Receiver, Kent State

I had a chance to watch Ardell Banks from the sideline last week. He pulled in a pair of passes for 28 yards, but his second reception was quite the play. The Flashes had blown a 35-17 lead to Akron and were in overtime. On the first play of the overtime, Kent State quarterback Dru DeShields fired a pass to the right sideline where it was caught by Ardell Banks, who managed to keep his feet inbounds for the go-ahead (and ultimately game-winning) score.

Chase Bond, Defensive End, NC State
Chase Bond sacked Miami quarterback Carson Beck on Saturday– it was Bond’s first full sack of his collegiate career.
Austin Brawley, Safety, New Mexico
Austin Brawley broke his foot in the season opener versus Michigan. He returned in resounding fashion on Saturday versus Colorado State on Saturday. He picked up 3 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, and intercepted 2 passes. For this incredible performance and an improbable return, Brawley earned the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week award.
Luke Murphy, Linebacker, Coastal Carolina
Luke Murphy had an excellent game on Saturday, picking up 7 tackles and a tackle-for-loss versus Georgia Southern.
NCAA FCS
Adonis Marshall, Cornerback, Mercyhurst

I also had a chance to catch Adonis Marshall in action. He picked up a tackle, came very close to intercepting a pass, and played excellent coverage all day. I also managed to get a photo of Marshall and Ja’Meir Gamble, who had significant playing time this year but was unable to play this week due to injury. Daylan Pringle also plays for Mercyhurst but I was unfortunately unable to get a picture of him.
