
Week 1 of college football had fans in a frenzy this weekend. Many Tigers played their season openers– below is a look at some of the top performers from Week 1.
NCAA D1
Chase Bond (Defensive End), Redshirt Freshman, NC State
Chase Bond recorded his first 2 tackles (including a tackle-for-loss) in the Wolfpack’s 24-17 win over East Carolina.

Dorian Pringle (Inside Linebacker), Redshirt Freshman, Bowling Green
Dorian Pringle’s starting debut had been long-awaited by Massillon fans. Those in TigerTown have known that Pringle was a storm chomping at the bit to be let loose– the storm broke last week versus Lafayette. Pringle racked up a team-leading 9 solo tackles (11 total), a team-best 4 tackles-for-loss, and .5 sack. He will undoubtedly continue to control the field for the Falcons and add numerous highlights this season.

NCAA FCS
Ja’Meir Gamble (Running Back), Freshman, Mercyhurst
Ja’Meir Gamble had quite an impressive game for a true freshman seeing his first collegiate action. He picked up 21 yards rushing (2nd on the team) and 18 receiving in a loss to Youngstown State.
Adonis Marshall (Defensive Back), Sophomore, Mercyhurst
Marshall cleaned up on the defensive side for Mercyhurst. He picked up 7 tackles (3rd), including 4 solo (2nd) and 3 assists (tied for 3rd).
NCAA DII
Stephen Hogan (Tight End), Sophomore ,Central State

Stephen Hogan pulled in his first collegiate touchdown reception in a 24-34 loss against Kentucky State.
